October Authors

We had lots of stories to
tell for our October
book-it week!
What do you see in the sky
on a cloudy day?

What is your favorite type
of day to play outside?

What do fire engines do?

Why do we need them?

Do you know what a mouse eats?

A couple days we learned all
about pumpkins.

We used our senses to see how the outside
feels versus how the inside feels.

We read a story that told us lots of
interesting facts about pumpkins.

We also counted how many
seeds were in the pumpkin
after each person guessed.
Our total = 456!!

We made our own pumpkin book
based on all that we learned.

Working on the letter "G".

Fire Safety

The preschoolers have been
talking about safety this month.
The fire department visited us in September
and the police came last week.

We learned about being safe in a
fire in our home and at school.

We also talked about safety around
bonfires and fire pits, too.

We all want to have a safe and happy Halloween.

Fall Food

We cooked up some
tasty treats last
week in Pathways!
We made fall trees with
 pretzels and grapes.

Have the leaves changed color yet
and fallen off your trees?

Tuesday we mixed up brownies and
made those into trees also.

Yummy Mummies, anyone?
We had a delicious pizza for this snack.

Rice Cake kitties were created
with lots of fresh fruits.

Black Cats crossed our
 paths on Friday!

We are enjoying our
Halloween-themed stations.

Loving the fall weather!

Police Department Visit

The Sunset Police Department
came to visit our
preschoolers this week.
Sergeant Hagan talked to the kids
about "stranger danger", Halloween safety,
gun safety, and the reasons we call 911.

We ended our visit with seeing a
police car inside and out.
