Visions of Sugar Plums

 December in Pathways
ended with a festive
cooking week and
some holiday stories.

The last full week before
Christmas we had a good
time making holiday treats.

We built snowmen using
bananas one day.

Another day we used marshmallows
to build our snowmen.

Reindeer Rice Krispie treats
were created on Wednesday.

The end of the week brought
decorated Christmas trees.

The short week before Christmas we
wrote our monthly stories.

The kids decorated this tree.

For the book on the inside
they told us what they know
about Jesus and Christmas.

J is for Jesus!

That Tuesday we made a book
 of the Christmas donkey.

The kids told us about what
they knew about the role the
donkey played in the
Christmas story.

Our last day we
made Star books.

We wrote about how the star
led the shepherds to where
the Baby Jesus was born.

Besides writing stories, we
read Christmas stories!

We played Christmas games, like this
Build a Gingy number game.

We have lots of other games,
like Go Fish.

This game teaches number and
color matching.

Dressing up in the
dramatic area.

Having a picnic!

Play time!

We got outside on those
 warm days we had.
