Lessons in Smiles and Music

This week we were all smiles
 learning about dental 
health and making music. 

We used dry erase markers and
 toothbrushes made of cotton balls
 and craft sticks to learn how
 to brush our teeth.

After talking about the foods that
 are not healthy for our teeth
(represented by coloring on the
 tooth with the marker), we “brushed”
our way to shiny and cleaner teeth. 

We talked about how going to the
dentist helps keep our teeth healthy.

In Music Class, Mr. Justin brought his
 Boom Whackers and let us all have
a turn making music with them!

Cooking Week

We made the most of our
short week by making some
treats to celebrate special days. 

In honor of Presidents' Day we
made Abraham Lincoln cookies.

The next day we made
George Washington cookies.

Friday we celebrated all
of the snow by making
snowflakes out of tortillas!

We worked on our numbers
with this matching game.

Heart Health Week in Preschool

We learned about the importance
of our hearts this week.

Our video we watched
was called Heartpower.

We learned a lot about exercise, 
eating healthy and taking good
care of ourselves.

Exercise is good for you and fun.
It will also warm you up on 
these cold days.

 

Hearts and Love

In between snow days
we talked about love
and made heart crafts! 

Our hand was traced for the branches
and hearts were used for the leaves
of this tree of love!

We used hearts to
make a fun hat.

One day we got to paint
whatever we wanted.

Another day we painted hearts.

This is a game we play 
with hearts and dice to
learn our numbers.
