Playing with our food

We talked about the Spring

weather and made crafts with

 food last week in Pathways.

March came in like a lion on the first
of the month with some rain and clouds.

We talked about how the weather can be very
different throughout the Spring.

The flowers will be starting to appear soon!

This was a week for having fun
with our favorite foods.

We used cheerios for this octopus, spaghetti
noodles for the lion and made "pizza".

How high can you build a tower?

Thinking and Feeling

In Pathways last week we used

 our minds to write books

 and our senses to explore.

In the Preschool Bonus Room it was
our week to write books.

For Presidents' Day we wrote what we
learned about Abraham Lincoln.

Another day we wrote what we know about Jesus.

Thursday we talked about shapes.

The story was inside his rectangle body.

Where would you go if you could
travel in a hot air balloon?

In the Preschool Prep Room it
was Sensory Week.

Working at the car wash!

Shaving cream and two colors
were mixed together in a bag
to see what would happen.

Nurse Visit

Last week the First Year Preschoolers 

had a visit from Nurse Ali. 
So much was  learned about 
being heart healthy!

Nurse Ali gave us heart stickers
 and asked us to place them
 where we think our hearts are.

Nurse Ali brought along a bike pump

 to teach us how hearts pump blood

 through our bodies!

We learned how our heart works
 with the rest of our body.

We talked about what foods are
and are not good for our heart.

Healthy Teeth

Having good strong and healthy 

teeth is very important to all

 of the Preschoolers.

We talked about brushing skills, healthy

 food  and visiting a dentist this week.

We even tried brushing at school on

 a special tooth that we made messy.

Brushing is hard work!!

Beach Party

We took a break from the cold

weather and hit the beach!

Playing in the "sand".

Of course we watched "Moana".

In the Preschool Bonus Room we
had our February cooking week. 

We made heart snacks for Valentine's Day.

We also made lollipop butterflies
using hearts for the special day.

Wednesday we created owls.

Snowflakes were made out of
pretzels and marshmallows.

For dental health month we made mouths using
 apples for the lips and marshmallows for the teeth.
