Happy Easter!

Jesus Lives!
Happy Easter to All!

Our preschoolers have been patiently
waiting for the celebration.

We made Jesus glitter crosses, talked
about the promise of the Resurrection
and sang about the Lord's victory.

Easter talk also included a
sighting of the Easter Bunny.

The spring praise is always joy-filled with
the making of Easter baskets and eggs.

The kids are full of energy.
The weather has warmed and
new life can be seen everywhere.

Easter Cooking

It was time for our monthly
cooking in Pathways last week.
We started out the week with a beach
scene on marshmallows.

The kids added blue frosting for the ocean,
then some "sand" and fish.

The rest of the week we made special Easter treats.

They loved these corn muffin chicks.

Spring flowers were made
out of cheese and pretzels.

One day we created bunnies
using rice cakes, fruit and pretzels.

Friday we made a bagel bunny!

Easter egg counting game.

Play time!

Resurrection Reminders

The Preschool Classes have been
discussing Jesus’ resurrection this
past week in preparation for Easter.

Pastor Gruenwald talked with the children
in chapel about Jesus’ ultimate sacrifice
on Good Friday and how he saved us.

Singing “My God is So Great”

We made Resurrection Rolls by placing
 marshmallows (symbolizing Jesus)
inside of crescents rolls (the tomb)
 and baking them.

When they came out of the oven we
were amazed that the crescent rolls were
empty inside just like the tomb on Easter!

Purple Day fun! The perfect Color
  Day to represent the  Resurrection.

We went on a scavenger
hunt to find purple things.

Making purple handprint bunnies.

Pretty Painting

We cheered on the Cardinals
for the home opener and are
 getting ready for Easter
during our painting week.

We made Cardinal pennants in
 the Preschool Bonus Room.

Our fingerprints added color to these baseballs.

Wednesday we made tigers.

A potato made fancy prints
for our egg picture.

We used a carrot to paint carrots!

Lots of time went into
this beautiful block tower!

This fabulous creation was called "The Maxinator".

Spring-themed counting activity.

Getting outside on a beautiful day.
